Admin always wanted it to be a small instance for friends, he was pushed into federating by sunshine, who is beaver and several others as well by my understanding. Then the political situation in the US continued deteriorating, and between the risks, the stalking, and all the general harassment that comes from operating a public vegan community he saw no benefits to keeping it up and shut it down.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, even with support coping with a divorce and abuse is an extremely tall order. I've not been through that exactly, but as someone who's been cheated on before, and has been hospitalized for suicidal ideation a couple of times, just know that she doesn't deserve that degree of control over you. You're worth more than that, and suicide isn't a good answer. Pain is not worth your long term happiness, no matter what it tells you. I know it's hard in your darkest moments, but you have to push back.

I'm glad you're in counseling, don't be afraid if you need to get with a psych and get medication to help more, even just short term to get you over the hump. Not saying you need to, I just know some people are reluctant to take meds, but they can help sometimes.

I hope they come around though. You deserve support, and it's shitty that your friends aren't helping. This is a bit rambly, I guess the core message is you're worthwhile, you aren't a bad person, and suicide isn't a good solution.

Scott had a lot of nicknames. Scotty, Scottato, Scottocles, and of course, Scott Von Scott of the Scottsdale Scotts who did Scott so Scottily in the war of Scotteen Twelve. He particularly enjoyed that one lol

He loved going places, but he hated being in the car, which I always found kind of funny. He'd always happily jump into the car, but then he'd whine the entire trip until we got wherever we were going.

One time we went out camping, and it was a several hour drive. He whined the whole way, and I was so mad at him. We got there though, and we hiked a few miles out to the camping spots. They were pretty much all taken, but my husband and I did not have the energy to hike back down in the dark. So, we found an out of the way spot that wasn't on top of any foliage and set up our tent. It was on a slope, so that night was basically a mandatory cuddle party while we slid into each other and tried to sleep.

The next day we gathered everything up and hiked back out to the car. Scott pulled on his leash the whole way back, but when we got to the car and started driving he hardly whined at all. He was very ready to be home, just like we were. It was a dark, rainy, uncomfortable night, but it would have been so much worse without my big galoot there.
