Thank you, first time trying!

Thanks! Must have been the evening light, and the angle? Maybe also the color palette and the composition giving a "vase of flowers with pear" effect :)

Just a coincidence :)

Just fried in some olive oil, a bit of balsamic and fresh oregano on the plate.

I live in southern Germany, far away from any fresh seafood. This was my first time eating (and cooking) scallops. Found them at an Italian grocery store, frozen.

Germany.

  • 30 vacation days.
  • 16 public holidays.
  • Unlimited sick days (6 weeks paid by employer, the rest by the health insurance, at a lower rate)

These are all paid, ~~all working days~~ some public holidays may fall on the weekend.

I started this year with 9 vacation days from last year, I had to take them before the end of March, so I just randomly took a couple of weeks in Feb and Mar.

I usually align my vacation days with my kids school holidays, but I take 2-3 weeks continuously in the summer, usually late August.

I use vscode (vscodium actually) for my daily tasks, so I use it to keep notes as well. I started using Dendron for a bit of note management, and I push them to my git server from time to time.

Maybe? The stuff you buy from the gas station or supermarket for grilling and such. Is it charcoal?

Chicken:

I used chicken breast, seasoned with salt and pepper, seared in a bit of oil.

Took it out and let it rest while I made the rest.

Couscous:

Basic couscous, cooked in hot water, spiced it with ground cumin, coriander, paprika, cumin seeds, a cinnamon stick, salt and pepper. Let it cool a bit, forked it until fluffy.

Chopped a leftover hot pepper and some mint at the end, after it cooled down.

Salad:

Red onion, red bell pepper, tomato, kalamata olives, feta.

Dressed it with olive oil, lime juice, salt, pepper, and a bunch of fresh parsley.

Took canned chickpeas and roasted them a bit in the chicken pan, added them on top for some crunch.

Had some random stuffed peppers in the fridge so I chucked them in for colour.
