You must be trolling.

There's nothing USA about potatoes or corn.

Corn, or maize, was first domesticated by the native populations near Mexico, and potatoes have been a staple food in Europe for a really long time, to the point where Ireland had a famine when they lost their potato crop.

Hell yeah this is the kind of stuff I created this community for, love it!

Arguing over doggy eugenics is off-topic on a forum about dog pictures. This was an established rule before I took over the community.

You were banned after being warned and made aware of the rule, after multiple violations and many reports from other users in the modlog.

Besides, I don't know why you're tu quoque-ing about this in an unrelated community, nor why you're harassing me via DM for that matter.

Move on.

And no, AI is strictly banned in all communities I moderate. My comment above is constructive and opens a discussion, unlike your ad hominem comment here.

For any genre that falls under electronic music, from the chillest ambient electronic tracks to hardcore ultra tone and everything in-between.

Post music or new artists you've discovered, discuss a new release or ask about a song you've long lost but remember the beat of.

I'll argue that this is a cat community, not an AI discussion community.

There are ethical concerns with the use of AI, especially image generation.

c/dogs has a strict no AI policy, and it seems to be appreciated by our users.

We're doing our yearly Montreal - Winnipeg drive this summer.

We usually stop in Chicago for 3 days on the way back. This won't be happening. I miss Chicago, but it's really not worth getting my rights violated at the US border.

This. Run it yourself.

...maybe!

Sorry Smorty, I just can't understand ya :(

Canadian-made tampons? (self.buycanadian)
submitted 3 weeks ago by isVeryLoud to c/buycanadian

I can find canadian-made pads, but not tampons, and much less canadian-owned tampon manufacturers.

Does anyone know of such a manufacturer that sells in Quebec? Ideally something high quality with a nice applicator.

Trying to connect to Lemmy.ca from Mexico, since about yesterday, I'm getting a connection refused. I have to VPN to Canada to use the site.

Is this normal behaviour?

That's all. I really love 1Password though, I don't think I've ever had any issues with them and their Linux support is excellent.

I learned that Tailscale is Canadian after learning that CloudFlare indiscriminately routes your server traffic through the US, including CloudFlare Tunnel traffic.
