Thank you, they all sound really interesting ... especially the first one!

I enjoy them partly because I love art, all the examples I have have distinct original styles and some of the pages are simply beautiful :-)

I edited my previous post for readability BTW

If you're into scandalous hand holding then you're in for a real treat getting updated ... also, I love the art style.

I have a large cyborg pride tattoo on my back from Dresden Codak :-)

Uh-oh, there could be a long list ...

Ones that are free to read online would include:

Dresden Codak

Kill Six Billion Demons

Gunnerkrigg Court

Stand Still Stay Silent (finished)

Freakangels (finished)

Digger (finished)

Oof, I hear you on that one (pun intended). I hate using the phone regardless of language, but if I can see the person talking I don't have problems with communicating ... this is a problem here in Spain where many companies will almost refuse to communicate in writing :-/

No, this is clearly a Riley Elf with a Mini front end swap (a popular change back in the day after a front end collision, since the Riley panels were hard to get)

Damnit, and this was the final payoff after two previous posts where I put thirsty lesbian words into Betty's mouth ...

Thanks, unfortunately the shipping on a boxed set from the US would be brutal :-/ (and the last thing I bought direct from the US got "lost" at customs)

I'm not able to torrent stuff because I live in the middle of nowhere and use my phone for internet ... the dodgy streaming sites have been a godsend TBH, since I can nibble lower res copies of things one episode at a time without the expectation of seeding :-)

Ha! Yeah, I'm afraid so - not only do I not want to have that sort of thing on-screen just in case someone reads a couple of words over my shoulder, I also don't want to get all wound up at work

Thank you :-)

I'm not a big reader, hence the question in the first place - usually I just stick with graphic novels and the news, but it's time for a change!

I used to, but mostly my weight was linked to me mental health - when I turned 30 I was overweight and very unfit, and also in a bad place both physically and mentally ... I decided I didn't want to die like that, so I intentionally destroyed my life and restarted.

Now, I don't look at my weight, but I do keep fit.

Are bra makers a group? Wouldn't mind hating on them a bit ...

My work is up and down like a yoyo at the moment, to help avoid doom scrolling during quiet patches I've decided to start reading (nobody at work is going to pay attention to plain text on my screen, we're all in the same boat).

I've got a copy of Naomi Altman's The Power to start off with ... any other recommendations?

(Obviously can't be anything smutty or very funny because I need to be low-key, and lighter stuff would be easier to pick up and put down when I have actual work to do)

Thanks in advance :-)

Hi, Iḿ not in the US, but earlier this year had the opportunity to try shooting firearms of various sorts for the first time, and it's something I'd like expand my knowledge about ... when I go on youtube the videos I've seen have been American with a right-wing lean which range from comedic, through surreal, and into creepy.

It would be nice to see content from people who are vaguely normal.

(Edit: especially if it has to do with revolvers!)

Are there any other shows out there of this sort of lighthearted nature, yet made with quality writing, out there?

It feels like a lot of recent things we've watched has been a bit grim and/or relies on spectacle rather than telling a good story and working a few jokes in along the way ... the world is on fire, I'd like to stop it and get off, if only for a few minutes at a time.
