Please think of all the shareholder who needs more moneyz! That is best done with selling what one already sold before but worse. As long as it's really expensive!

Ah THX. Haven't seen yet, but style looked familiar 😊

Which character is the bottom one? It's one of inside-out, right?

Unfassbar. Ich bin geschockt. Die tiefere Bedeutung dieses Wortes hat sich mir wahrlich erst nach Lektüre dieser "news" erschlossen.

Achja: /s....

No time currently for a nice ELI5, but if you also need a solution now:

sudo cfdisk -> resize to what's physically available -> save

sudo pvresize /dev/sda<X> (x being the drive in question)

sudo lvresize -t -v -l +100%FREE /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv

sudo lvreduce -t -L <SIZE> /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv

No errors? Then remove -t

sudo resize2fs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv

This should be it on default Ubuntu server. Typically unintuitive linux-stuff, but hey 😁

Never got that appeal of doomscrolling. Never did, never will. Never used a social-media (unless reddit and now Lemmy maybe), never cared.

It's a never ending cesspool of either bad news, fake news, propaganda or just incredible shallow smalltalk in video-form that transports nothing of value but aims to create monetary value.

Assuming, just for the sake of it, she'd be totally right: I'd still prefer the ideological - yet dumb - zoomer over any boomer that absolutely knows the truth yet decides to fuck it anyway. And then gets quoted in a "magazine" that's owned by the biggest temu-shopper of all time. But again, it's little Kevin's and Jacqueline's fault with their disgusting tries to save money.

Wohl kaum.

Fantastic read! If they stole before they anticipate others probably stealing too and hence re-hide their previous stuff if they've been observed while doing so. Fucking incredible. Even some humans are too challenged for that kind of mental gymnastics.

Cheap bait, try harder.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

I can very much imagine that. Here they "just" are an annoyance, but not dangerous.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

Sure, they have their role to play in this ecosystem. But tell me why I should care for possible reactions due to their utter eradication? We will kill this planet anyway in every way, the mosquitoes aren't gonna change anything. And me, doing whatever, won't change our specie's course either. Greed signed that fate a long time ago.

That said though, my initial comment wasn't meant dead-serious.

[Update:Solution]

It was my router which set STP on by default. Switching it off (in smaller networks) or using RSTP made the delays go away.

[/Update]

Hóla!

For a long time I've got this horribly annoying problem: Upon bootup, ANY domain-machine that is using LAN (no probs with wireless) has an idle-time with "there's no network!" of about 1-2mins until they discovered the network. BUT only windows-machines. Linux boxes get net instantly. Also on LAN.

Setup: 2 Domaincontrollers, Server2019. Both are DNS, one is DHCP and NPS for WIFI. All machines have fixed IPs, the DHCP is just for wireless clients.

I have tried everything I could think of, like NIC-Drivers, OpenDHCP, temporarily changed the switch from a managed one to a dumb one, changed the NIC in the server, let only one DC be alive at a time, rejoined the domain, the usual sfc/dism-approach and whatnot.

I asked once on reddit, but everyone just told me "that's DHCP!", yet it's (seemingly at least) not. All have fixed IPs, but using dhcp doesn't change a thing.

So I'm clueless again, hoping for some nerd that's nerdier than me to have an idea :)
